The CommBank Business Interest-Free Days Credit Card

The CommBank Business Interest-Free Days Credit Card is a business card designed to ease cash flow on a day-to-day basis with up to 55 days interest-free on purchases. Also on offer is easy online management and transaction tracking, plus complimentary insurance cover in the form of Transit Accident Insurance and Unauthorised Transaction Insurance.

What we love...

One of the standout features on the CommBank Business Interest-Free Days Credit Card is its up to 55 days interest-free on purchases.

Designed to offer a cash flow tool for small business owners, the card can also be a money-saver, offering up to 55 days interest-free on purchases. It also makes dealing with BAS much easier, as it separates your business spending from your personal spending, while also allowing for integration with your online accounting software, such as Xero or MYOB.

Unlike some business loan products, this card offers an easy application process, which can be completed online, with no need to provide business financials. Depending on your eligibility, the card can offer credit limits starting at $500, reaching all the way to $50,000. Throw in that purchase offer, and this could provide you with the funding your business needs – as long as you pay it all off by the time the intro period ends.

In terms of account management, CommBank makes this super easy. Using tools such as CommBiz or NetBank, you can request online statements, establish automated payments, order cards and change daily withdrawal limits. Keeping track of transactions is also simple, with instant transaction updates and transaction location mapping.

Control over cardholder spending can be achieved using the CommBank app or on NetBank, allowing you to instantly lock international payments, block ATM cash advances and limit your spending. You can also stay in control of your account by making use of the card’s alerts and payment reminders.

As a business owner, you can benefit from some added peace of mind, with complimentary Transit Accident Insurance and Unauthorised Transaction Insurance. And if you choose, you can add your business name beneath the cardholder’s name on your credit card.

What’s not so great...

The CommBank Business Interest-Free Days Credit Card has a pretty average purchase rate and a reasonable annual fee for what it has to offer, so there’s not much to complain about there. If you want to keep costs down though, clear your balance after the intro period ends to take advantage of the 55-day interest-free feature, to keep interest payments at zero.

Why should you choose this card?

Most new cardholders will be attracted to the CommBank Business Interest-Free Days Credit Card for its purchase offer. And why not? A year is a good long time to enjoy paying no interest on purchases, so it could give you the opportunity to buy something big and pay it off before interest starts accruing.

Aside from its offer, the card could work well for small business owners who want a low cost card that offers the basics. There are no rewards programs tempting you to spend, and no features to get caught up in. If, however, you want extras to make business travel more comfortable, or the opportunity to earn rewards on your business spend, another card may suit you better.

Overall Rating

Take advantage of the CommBank Business Interest-Free Days Credit Card to easy cash flow and you can benefit from up to 55 days interest-free on purchases.

I'm a student from China and I have decided to accept the offer given by UNSW. Due to the epidemic, I'm now in China and cannot confirm myself doing payment by phone message code. By the way I've just cancelled my Australian phone number. What can I do for this question?

Hi, this card has a $60 annual fee. A card like the NAB Low Rate Business includes a lower purchase rate and 0% for the first 12 months on purchases.
